Proximal femoral Nail Antirotation known as PFNA is an intramedullary implant for the treatment of an unstable trochanteric femoral fracture.

Intramedullary Nailing with PFNA2

We at Siora Surgicals recently introduced PFNA in our product gallery for the intramedullary management of pertrochanteric hip fractures.  These PFNA2 nails are available in different sizes that which are
  • PFNA Nail Short -130° Length 170MM
  • PFNA Nail Short 130°, Length 240MM
  • PFNA Nail Long 130°

Usually, these cannulated PFNA nails come with 6° lateral bend at its upper third making it easy to introduce into the femur.

It can be inserted into the femoral head through a hole in the proximal section of the nail. And due to its helical shape, the cancellous bone on the femoral head is compacted especially in case of osteoporotic bone.
